New Seating Behind The Goals
Going in over the Summer.

C&P
Following the appointment of stadium design specialists Arena Events Group, to advance the previously announced proposal to reconfigure the Stadium, West Ham United is pleased to reveal the latest plan that will deliver two new lower tier stands, squared-off in line with a more traditional football stadium configuration behind the goals, with the aim of moving the two stands closer to the pitch and installing these this summer.

Doesn't bring the upper tier any closer that holds the majority of the fans, but that's never going to change.

Mentions in there it's safe standing compatible which is probably most note-worthy bit in there.

Re: New Seating Behind The Goals
I've been behind the goal at both ends loads of times. This will be a big improvement. It's standing already. It's time for the old geezers to come back and stand in the BML. The only way to improve the atmosphere is to turn up and sing.

This is the fkin problem. The embarrassing gap between the 2 tiers is about to get even more embarrassing.

I'm all for positive change but the stadium is an abomination. When the away fans sing to us we sold our sole for this shit hole, I can't argue against it.

Save for demolishing and redeveloping 3 quarters of it, I can only hope that we eventually do a Juventus / Espanyol and move out to a stadium we can be proud of calling our home within the next 15 years

The only way to stick it to the parasites is to not go.
Carry on happy clapping though.

I might change my season ticket to behind the goal in the BML

with the seats being only 1 third sold, this will add a few more bob in the coffers for the daves.

We don't really need it, the atmosphere has been hugely improved in the last few months.

As an OAP I pay so little it’ll make sod all difference to them where I sit. If I’m on my own I wander down to the BML anyway. The stewards haven’t got a clue.

Am I right in thinking that no one on this site actually goes to football anymore?

That'll scare 'em.

Personally I thought the Burnley game was the way to make a point. Reminded me of the West Ham passion of years ago.

Not much left of the summer so this fits with their 2-bob strategy

Looks like everyone is being moved around to new seats although there old seats are in much the same position.

Re: New Seating Behind The Goals
I hope this safe standing doesn't spoil it for bunking in to the BML. Might make it more obvious that there are extra punters in the row.

It’ll look more like a football ground for the tv cameras, can’t see how much difference it’ll make to be sat in them.

Re: New Seating Behind The Goals
Just checked where my new seat is, have they fuck kept people in the same position, I was behind the goal in the BML and now I’m almost level with the edge of the penalty area on the left hand side of the goal!

The e-mail says contact them if you’re not happy but doesn’t say who to contact from what I can see?

RichyP - if you scroll down to the end it looks like any questions have to go by email.

oioi - this season they've been double checking entry cards for the BML (at the top of the concourse), purely because of people sneaking in from other parts of the ground!
